LOCAL FIRM CATCHES EYE OF PRIME TIME TV PRODUCERS

Norfolk bespoke soft furnishings company, Brian Fisher & Sons, has grabbed the attention of television producers of the Channel Four hit series, The Home Show.

The programme, in which architect George Clarke visits homes across the country and helps the homeowners fall back in love with their houses, has proved a hit for Channel Four and Brian Fisher & Sons have been brought in to consult and supply the soft furnishings on four of the shows.

So far, two of the shows featuring Brian Fisher & Sons have aired, and already they are seeing how their spot in the limelight is helping their soft furnishings business.

Paul Fisher, Company Director, Brian Fisher & Sons, said:

“As a high-end soft furnishings manufacturer, we deal predominately with corporate clients and interior designers, but the show has created a real interest from the general public, which is extremely exciting. Following the Parsons Green show, for which we supplied not only handmade curtains but bespoke loose and fitted chair covers and scatter cushions, we have had a number of enquiries, as well as an order for the exact same hand sewn cushions that appeared on the show.”.

Brian Fisher & Sons has worked with the production company, Tiger Aspect, on four of the shows in total; supplying handmade roman blinds for a house in Biggin Hill, hand sewn soft furnishings and curtains for a house in Parsons Green and a selection of bespoke curtains and blinds for houses in Chalfont and Maida Vale.

Established 24 years ago by Brian Fisher, the company, as the name suggests, is all about family. Now run by his identical twin sons Paul and Stephen, Brian Fisher & Sons specialises in bespoke handmade curtains and soft furnishings. Boasting an impressive client list, including John Lewis, The Silk Trading Company at Harrods and Liberty, the company prides itself on its innovative approach, outstanding quality and customer service.

All the curtains and soft furnishings are hand-sewn by Brian Fisher & Sons’ team of dedicated seamstresses, in their workroom in Harleston, but despite its traditional approach to manufacturing the products, the brothers embrace the latest technology to enhance other aspects of their business.

Stephen Fisher, Company Director, Brian Fisher & Sons explained:

“ As we use only the best materials and our staff deliver such an outstanding quality of work, we believe our products speak for themselves. However, we are always looking for ways to enhance the overall service our customers receive when they commission us.”

They are proud to be one of the first curtain manufacturers in the country to introduce an on-line tracking system, so their customers know exactly what stage their order has reached, any time of the day or night. They also work closely with Silent Gliss, the leading global supplier of motorised and manual curtain and blind systems, to ensure they are offering the very latest in high-end systems.

The Home Show is aired on Channel Four on Thursday evenings at 8.00pm and the final two episodes which Brian Fisher has worked on will be aired on Thursday 2nd July and Thursday 9th July 2009.
