A well-known hand-made soft furnishings company in Norfolk is fighting the credit crunch by branching out and expanding its product range.

Local family firm Brian Fisher & Sons, are already the market leaders in bespoke soft furnishings and hand-made curtains, offering a wide range of products. However, following a recent increase in demand for headboards, they are now expanding this arm of the business.

Brian Fisher & Sons has been established 24 years and has an extensive workroom in Harleston in Norfolk, managed by twins, Paul and Stephen Fisher. The brothers are extremely excited by this latest growth in their business and have plans to expand accordingly.

Stephen Fisher said:

“We work closely with our clients to ensure that the service and products we offer are in line with current demand. We also track orders coming in, to establish any order patterns or growth in certain areas, which is what we have pinpointed in the latest three months, with the upturn of orders for headboards.”.

The company offers a wide range of headboards and every aspect of production is carried out in-house. They have a specialist upholsterer and currently offer 16 different basic headboard designs, which can be varied by clients to give them a bespoke, hand-made product.

 
Paul Fisher said:

“We have always prided ourselves on our bespoke hand-made manufacturing process and we know that we have some of the best skilled staff in the industry, so it makes sense to expand this arm of the business and respond to public demand.”.

In addition to headboards, the brothers are hoping to expand other aspects of their product range. They are also looking to introduce new products in the future, such as curtain tracks, curtain poles and furniture, with a view to making Brian Fisher & Sons a one-stop-shop for interior design.

Paul Fisher added:

“We would like to offer a one-stop service to our clients, whereby they can source everything required to outfit a room, from curtains and soft furnishings to furniture, right here at Brian Fisher & Sons.”.
